Long-time Target Liberty readers know that I am against preventing immigrants from entering the United States. However, I must point out that the "open borders" policy of Senile Joe is encouraging the worst kind of immigrants to cross the border.
I have always had a rule to hire immigrants that are the first ones in a family to cross the border, be it a cleaning lady, nanny or office assistant.
The first one over is always the go-getter who is driven to succeed. Later she is the one who brings over other members of the family, who oftentimes are, well, not go-getters.
Always hire the first ones over.
This rule has an application to what Joe is allowing.
He has pretty much-encouraged border crossers who will cross the border for free food, education, medical and maybe even an eventual universal basic income. These are really not the ones you want crossing the border.
The welfare wall must go up. No handouts of any kind for anyone crossing the border. Everyone fends for themselves. Then let's see what kind of people cross the border. They will be the workers. They should be welcomed.

Government welfare handouts are the enticement of slavery. Slaves are, in many ways, the opposite of entrepreneurs, builders, and at the highest level, Makers, as opposed to Destroyers. (See Card's Alvin Maker series.)

You can still cut all the handouts but then there are all the socialized government services that are very difficult if not impossible to wall off.

I don't know if you've noticed but there is no welfare wall and none coming...you're dreaming of a world which doesn't exist...your hope that someone somewhere will implement your philosophy is sad...pitiful...and but another sign of the extreme weakness of the American male.
