I Really Hope California Governor Gavin Newsom Gets Laughed Off the Planet
At least the old Soviet Union leaders knew you shouldn't produce a list of allowed activities that would be laughed off by the citizenry as if they weren't doing the activities already.
Below is the actual list of approved activities Newsom issued and published by The San Francisco Chronicle. It is ridiculous:
— Athletics
— Badminton (singles)
— Throwing a baseball or softball
— BMX biking
— Canoeing (singles)
— Crabbing
— Cycling
— Exploring rock pools
— Gardening (not in groups)
— Golf (singles, walking – no cart)
— Hiking (on trails and paths allowing distancing)
— Horseback riding (singles)
— Jogging and running
— Kite boarding and kitesurfing
— Meditation
— Outdoor photography
— Picnics (with your stay-home household members only)
— Quad Biking
— Rock Climbing
— Roller Skating and Roller Blading
— Rowing (singles)
— Scootering (not in groups)
— Skateboarding (not in groups)
— Soft martial arts – Tai Chi, Chi Kung (not in groups)
— Table tennis (singles)
— Throw and catch an American mini football, Frisbee or Frisbee golf (not in groups)
— Trail running
— Trampolining
— Tree climbing
— Volleyball (singles)
— Walk the dog
— Wash the car
— Watch the sunrise or sunset
— Yoga
This does nothing but highlight the obsessive power freak personality Newsom has.
He is a caricature of his power freak self.

How else are we to know if it is okay to watch the sunrise or set?
ReplyDeleteSex (singles) uh oh.
ReplyDeleteIs calling Newsom a dickhead a prohibited activity, then? I'll be doing this anyway.
ReplyDeleteInteresting, this page was updated on May 4th, 2020, by the US Dept of Justice.
ReplyDeleteUS Federal Code:
https://www.justice.gov/crt/deprivation-rights-under-color-law
Section 242 of Title 18 makes it a crime for a person acting under color of any law to willfully deprive a person of a right or privilege protected by the Constitution or laws of the United States.
For the purpose of Section 242, acts under "color of law" include acts not only done by federal, state, or local officials within the their lawful authority, but also acts done beyond the bounds of that official's lawful authority, if the acts are done while the official is purporting to or pretending to act in the performance of his/her official duties. Persons acting under color of law within the meaning of this statute include police officers, prisons guards and other law enforcement officials, as well as judges, care providers in public health facilities, and others who are acting as public officials. It is not necessary that the crime be motivated by animus toward the race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status or national origin of the victim.
The offense is punishable by a range of imprisonment up to a life term, or the death penalty, depending upon the circumstances of the crime, and the resulting injury, if any.
Glad to see meditation and yoga on the list. If you study yoga, you find that "Ahimsa", the idea of non-violence, is first in the yoga ethical principles. For this reason, and others, I find yoga is very compatible with Libertarianism.
ReplyDeleteThat said, the Governor can go f__k himself and die for all I care. Namaste. :)
