The High IQ Protest in Hong Kong

I am not sure what the protests in Hong Kong will accomplish, see: The Problem With the Protests in Hong Kong, but it is fascinating to observe the methods both sides are using that I have never seen before in street revolutions elsewhere around the globe.

Consider this from the protesters:

And they have introduced lasers, shooting then into the eyes of tear gas shooters:

The police have introduced blue colored dye as part of their water canyon blasts to mark the protesters for presumably later arrest:

This is a high IQ protest and counter-protest.

These are smart people. They would be able to understand The Road to Serfdom by F.A. Hayek and maybe even Human Action by Ludwig von Mises. They should start reading before they go back out on the streets.

  1. 108 is the average IQ of the population living in Hong Kong. That is currently the highest recorded. There is speculation that the high iodine content of their diet is a contributor.

    Yummy seaweed.
