The Problem With the Protests in Hong Kong

As I have pointed out many times, a street revolution that occurs without a mental revolution in the direction of liberty may be of no value, even counterproductive.

Luke Rudkowski is in Hong Kong and provides an independent take on what is going on in the territory.

The first problem is that concerns such as "income inequality" are being raised. Oh brother. See my video, What Socialists Don't Get About Capitalism and Inequality.

But also of note, there are no demands at all for smaller government. There are certainly demands for separation from China, but that, of course, is not enough. And the leaders are "pro-democracy" leaders but what good is a democracy if the people don't appreciate liberty?

  1. You could have stopped after "but what good is democracy."
