Hmmm.
Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has for this cycle maxed out his contributions to U.S. Representative and presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard, according to Federal Election Commission records.
He gave $2,800 each to Gabbard's primary fund and her general election campaign fund, the maximum amount allowed for individuals under federal law, reports BuzzFeed. -RW
This is an illustration of the pathology of the current federal election law re campaign contributions. Back in the pre-regulation days, Stewart Mott (an GM heir) and a few others were able to bankroll the (anti-war) campaign of Eugene McCarthy and effectively topple LBJ. (Not to mention John Hancock and Robert Morris.)
ReplyDeleteIts a shame to be honest. I like Tulsi but the contributions from nut jobs like Dorsey wont help her campaign at all.
