Monday night, Senator Ted Cruz was chased out of a DC restaurant by protesters. As can be seen in the video below, protesters were shouting "We believe the survivors."
They were referencing the women making charges against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
Earlier in the day, protesters entered the Senate office buildings and shouted that they believed the women who have made the charges,
Bizarrely, some of the demonstrators came to the Senate protest from Yale Law School where presumably innocent until proven guilty is taught.
Yale is also Kavanaugh's alma mater.
But here is the thing. These protesters have reached their conclusions with regard to events that happened over 35 years ago, without corroborating evidence.
I happen to suspect that Kavanaugh'was a pig in high school and Yale but these protesters seem to want to condemn a man without evidence because they fear his views. It is a remarkably dangerous precedent and highlights what power groups are about, advancing toward power by any means necessary.
It is not civilized behavior. The protesters are tools. They are the useful idiots whose tribal instincts have been triggered by the power-seeking puppetmasters.
That said, it appears that Michael Avenatti may have a client with corroborating evidence that may be released in the next 48 hours.
As I have already written, Kavanaugh is no friend of liberty so I don't care what happens to his nomination. But a crowd that can be so quickly stirred up to condemn a man without evidence is not a good sign for the future of our society.

You've provided good coverage of the Kavanaugh fiasco. But the craziest part of all this is that the 2 opposing "sides" in all this are agitated over the underlying specific issue of whether or not they think roe vs wade will be overturned by Kavanaugh & the others.

So actually, the so-called "conservative" "pro-life" repubs should be the ones chasing Cruz & the abortionists should support Brett.

All of these people getting all worked up into a frenzy over this are literally retarded. As if the GOP or any of these black-robed pervs gives a shit about abortion, life or liberty anyway ? What a joke.
And as Rand Paul recently pointed out in a senate speech, the GOP blocked his attempt to defund planned parenthood.
Senator Chuck Schumer asks Kavanaugh if he believes that Roe v. Wade is an abomination, and Kavanaugh replies: "Senator, if confirmed to the D.C. court, I would follow Roe V. Wade faithfully and fully. That would be binding precedent of the court, it's been decided by the Supreme Court ... I would follow it, it's been reaffirmed many times, including in Planned Parenthood v. Casey."

The GOP doesn't actually want Roe v Wade overturned; it is a terrific fundraiser for them.
DeleteThis (response to Schumer) was Kavanaugh's testimony at his nomination to the DC Circuit, and he refused to give his personal opinion, just that he was simply bound to follow Supreme Court precedent as a judge on that court. He would not be so bound as a Justice of the Supreme Court. In his testimony this year, I noticed he made reference several times to Washington v Glucksberg and the "liberty interest" issue.
