UK Prime Minister Theresa May May has announced she is taking personal control of Brexit negotiations with the EU.
In a written statement to the Commons, May said:
I will lead the negotiations with the European Union, with the Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union deputizing on my behalf. And in a new white paper published by May today, she said maintaining EU law is “necessary” through the “implementation period”, the post-Brexit transition phase that is set to run from Britain’s formal March 31 2019 exit to December 2020.
Prepare for Brexiter fury.
It would be fun to see Jacob Rees-Mogg take a run at her.
ReplyDeleteThey never planned on making Brexit happen. The people of Britain are about to learn that you cannot voluntarily leave a political union even if you were told you could.
