Bernie Sanders has raised about $15 million since he launched his presidential campaign on April 30, his campaign announced today.
The campaign received nearly 400,000 contributions from about 250,000 people, and 99 percent of those donations were $250 or less.
That's what you call grassroots money.
And, yesterday, Politico reported that Ben Carson is on track to raise $10.5 million during his first quarter as a candidate.
Carson senior adviser Mike Murray added that Carson’s money raise included 210,000 contributions with an average gift of $50.
Again, that's grassroots money.
Those kinds of numbers used to be associated with Ron Paul, but his son, Rand, chose a "cozy up to the establishment" path at a time when the masses want anti-establishment voices.
Rand blew it, Let's see what his money raise was in the first quarter with his "I am a supporter of Mr. Establishment Mitch McConnell" strategy.

"Ya gotta believe!!"
ReplyDeleteRand didn't.
I campaigned for Rand in KY- I spent a lot of time in Louisville during that election.
ReplyDeleteIf he had stood by his dad and his principles he would be raking in the campaign money. Instead it is going to The Donald. Rand is a loser.
"Rand blew it". Everyone understands this except Rand and Jesse Benton.
