EXPOSED: The Real Reason the CDC Chief is Against a Ban on Travel from Ebola Infested Countries

As a community organizer,[CDC director Tom] Frieden went down to Mississippi to right the wrongs those evil white Christians committed against those “poor, oppressed” blacks and he sees himself as doing the same thing now. He literally sees himself as working not for the big, bad oppressor America, but for the blacks of Africa. With his ebola activism, he has replaced avenging/saving Mississippi’s “poor, oppressed” blacks with avenging/saving Africa’s “poor, oppressed” blacks as his latest wild-eyed zealot revolutionary cause (And he has a long history of over-the-top zealotry. He’s the guy behind Bloomberg’s loony bans, including salt in restaurants). Simply put, in his mind, he works for Africa, not America. He has stated that a key reason for not enacting a travel ban is that it will hurt the economies of certain African countries. His opinion is that if Americans must die to help his African clients, then so be it – “First do no harm” as it applies to Africa, not America. Also, given his radical leftist ideology, it’s certain that he believes that not having a travel ban and risking ebola entering the country is just one of many proper atonements for America for its “sin” of slavery. These are the basic reasons why there is no travel ban. Obama chooses his appointees carefully.

FINALLY: Frontier Airlines says it is notifying up to 800 passengers linked to flights Ebola patient Amber Vinson took.

In addition to Amber Vinson's return trip, Frontier Airlines is now reaching out to others who were in five subsequent flights that used the same plane she flew in from Cleveland, CNN reports.

What does the CDC do with the $6 billion?

According to its web site:

Which, I guess, may be true if you don't count one of the most deadly microbes on the planet, Ebola. Because it did not respond to the outbreak of Ebola when it was identified in the blood stream of a man, in a Dallas hospital, who had just arrived from West Africa. I'm talking no team on the ground in Dallas, no supervision of the nurses treating the patient. Nothing,

Expert Warned CDC About Lax Ebola Treatment Guidelines; They Blew Him Off

NYT reports:

Many American hospitals have improperly trained their staffs to deal with Ebola patients because they were following federal guidelines that were too lax, infection control experts said on Wednesday.

Federal health officials effectively acknowledged the problems with their procedures for protecting health care workers by abruptly changing them. At 8 p.m. Tuesday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued stricter guidelines for American hospitals with Ebola patients...

Sean G. Kaufman, who oversaw infection control at Emory University Hospital while it treated Dr. Kent Brantly and Nancy Writebol, the first two American Ebola patients, called the earlier C.D.C. guidelines “absolutely irresponsible and dead wrong.”...Speaking by phone from Liberia, where he was training workers for Samaritan’s Purse, the medical charity that Dr. Brantly and Ms. Writebol worked for, Mr. Kaufman said he had warned the agency as recently as a week ago that its guidelines were lax.

“They kind of blew me off,” he said. “I’m happy to see they’re changing them, but it’s late.”

More CDC Incompetence: Second Nurse With Ebola Got Green Light From CDC To Fly With Temperature

Dallas Ebola patient Amber Vinson contacted the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention before boarding a commercial flight Monday because she had a slight fever.

CDC spokesman David Daigle said. "Vinson was not told that she could not fly," the government spokesperson told NBC News.

Government protection, efficiency and preparedness is mostly a myth. CDC is no different from FEMA. Never depend on the government to protect you against anything. They are all show. They harass little old ladies (and the rest of us) in what is considered by those in the know, Security Theater, but when it comes to even providing guidance to health workers heroically exposing themselves to a dangerous situation the CDC has been a complete failure.

Imagine what it would be like if a major disaster struck the United States.

Typical Government: Serious CDC Failure

There appears to be multiple failures on the part of the US government agency, the Center for Disease Control, in dealing with the Ebola outbreak.

First, it appears that at the Texas hospital, where two nurses have contracted Ebola, after treating the Ebola-infected Liberian Thomas Duncan, there was no monitoring by the CDC at the hospital and there were no specific protective protocols in place for the nurses.

In other words, a deadly disease that could have been controlled by competent advisement was not so controlled because of CDC failure to truly monitor the situation. Because of this failure, the risks exist of significant new cases of Ebola developing among those who treated Duncan, That is 71 more people--and perhaps beyond.

Further, the second nurse to report Ebola symptoms, Abner Vinson, flew from Dallas to Cleveland and back after treating Duncan. She reports that she had a slight fever of 99.5 on the return flight. The CDC has now put out a statement asking those who flew on the same flight as her, Frontier Flight 1143, to call a CDC hotline number. Get this, CNN is reporting that the wait to talk to CDC personnel who handle calls to the number is 390 minutes. That's 6 hours and 30 minutes.

Because Frontier did not know of the danger that was present by the flight of the nurse on Monday October 13, the airline continued to keep the plane in service and only thoroughly and properly disinfected the plane today.

However, most bizarre, it does not appear that the CDC is reaching out to passengers who sat in the same seat as Vinson, on flights following hers in that plane. Even though this is what the CDC says about Ebola on surfaces:

The role of the environment in transmission has not been established. Limited laboratory studies under favorable conditions indicate that Ebolavirus can remain viable on solid surfaces, with concentrations falling slowly over several days.

Never forget this: Government protection of its subjects is largely a myth. It is all show.

UPDATE:

Reports indicate that the Frontier plane that Vinson flew on, made 5 additional flights before being taken out of service.

The CDC Has Nothing Under Control: Protective gear initially left nurses' necks exposed at Texas hospital treating Ebola patient

There is no new method of Ebola transfer, as Rand Paul has suggested. It is becoming clear that US hospitals are ill equipped to deal with Ebola cases and that the protocols, or lack of them, led to the infection of a nurse with Ebola, at a Texas hospital, after she treated,Thomas Duncan who died from the disease .

National Nurses United Executive Director RoseAnn DeMoro, charges that nurses necks were exposed, at the hospital, even as they wore protective gear.

Further, "There was no mandate for nurses to attend training," Burger said, though they did receive an e-mail about a hospital seminar on Ebola.

"This was treated like hundreds of other seminars that were routinely offered to staff," she said.

Bottom line: The Center for Disease control is a typical government agency. Big on propaganda as to what it does "to protect the health of Americans." But, it is nothing but an ineffective poser. The sooner people stop trusting these organizations the better. People, firms and, yes, hospitals need to take things into their own hands and not expect proper guidance from government organizations.
