Caitlyn Jenner says she will run for governor of California.
Jenner, a Republican, said in a statement posted today on Twitter that she has filed paperwork to run for the post.
Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom is facing a likely recall election this year.

It's nice to see Wenzel is buying into Caitlyn Jenner's alternative reality by referring to him with his preferred pronouns. Way to stay woke!
ReplyDeleteIf he wants to change his name, I'll respect that, just like I do with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, but I'm not going to indulge Jenner in his fabrication of facts. I guess that's just one more reason why I'm not a libertarian anymore.
It comes out every single time he tries to comment on politics.
DeleteA Libertarian (vs a libertarian) follows the NAP. How RM chooses to use his words is up to him, not going to physically force him one way or other. So you believe in using physical force against others now?
DeleteI'm skeptical here. This almost sounds like what they do to the LP, put in candidates that are obvious weirdos, in order to solidify the power of the ruling class. I'd be pissed if I was a Republican supporter in CA.
ReplyDeleteIt's great to live in the Land of Fruits and Nuts!
ReplyDeleteThe glaring, elephant in the room that should make anyone leery about voting her, is that she patently, on its face, right out of the chute, has such a disturbing psychological defect/handicap/disability, which calls her stability and ability to lead, into question.
ReplyDeleteBut her political party aside, I'm ok with gender-dysphoria.
(ba da boom - cymbal crash).
Seriously though, having such a break with reality---insisting that he's a woman, notwithstanding the penis dangling between his legs---would call into question his mental stability and hence, his ability to lead and make sound, rational decisions.
ReplyDeleteI mean, would people vote for a candidate who insisted he's THE Napoleon Bonaparte, or that he's invisible and no one can see him? Delusions should keep you out of office, (and out of the military, out of educating children, and off of police forces, to name a few others).
I would take it a step further and say out of society, but then again I'm a nazi.
DeleteNo mention of that time Bruce Jenner killed that person with his car?
ReplyDeleteThat was Bruce, not Caitlyn. Checkmate bigot.

ReplyDeleteThat'll be funny if that mess runs California. A perfect metaphor for that state
ReplyDeleteMore broadly, its a perfect metaphor for politics and government. A system based on lies and theft. A confusing mess much like the one poor mr/ms Jenner is suffering.
DeleteBrian, In a recent comment you wrote something I construed to mean that choices can be complex and that only an individual assessing within his particular context can make the right decision for himself on a given question (your comment was about a mother choosing to send her child to public school, "Only a mother knows...) Doesn't this apply to a "transgender" person. I don't think it is unfair to judge Jenner as a "confusing mess" and living a "lie," but can I be certain that I'm right about such a judgement? Human beings are complex, and there is a voice in me that whispers for me to respect such a choice as another may make, simply because the factors that bear on him, his context, may be something I can't see or even fathom. JMJ
DeleteJust because I think Jenner is confused or suffering doesn't mean I am going to challenge his/her choice or try to force him/her to change. If Transgenders are a case of the brain saying one thing and the body another regarding sexual orientation of the individual than I am certain that is a confusing place to be. Only the individual can decide the best course for themselves and the rightness of anyone else's judgement is meaningless. But as a metaphor for government where the confusion of theft and lies impacts other peoples lives, the rightness of each person's judgement about such a social system is paramount.
