Below is part of a fascinating interview by Glenn Loury, Merton P. Stoltz Professor of the Social Sciences, Department of Economics, Brown University, of James Lindsay, who I consider the most important, and rational, student of Postmodernism and Critical Theory.
You won't agree with everything said by either party in this two-part clip of the interview but you will walk away with a much better understanding of the primary philosophies (Postmodernism, Critical Race Theory and Critical Theory) that are driving today's mad social justice warrior cancel culture. You will also understand more about the framework behind the absurd New York Times "1619 Project".
Lindsay is particularly excellent in the second half of the second clip.
The first clip is 15 minutes and 43 seconds:
Nice summary of postmodernism and predictably mind numbing. Why does it matter that a few "intellectuals" mince words with each other until they question even their own ability to understand or relate to the real world? I am referring here to a true postmodernist. I realized long ago that campus intellectuals are con artists using clever word salad to distract while they steal what they want. Its the same game I witnessed at small town carnivals and is just as impoverishing.
