The CEO of CNN's parent company said on Thursday that the coronavirus pandemic will continue to dominate the news network's coverage because it's "really good for ratings."
"It turns out the pandemic is a pretty big part of the news cycle and that's not going away anytime soon," WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar said, speaking about CNN's coverage at a media conference. "It turns out it's really good for ratings."
And that tells you right there where truth and balance rank at Warner.
Kilar apologized shortly afterward for not being "more thoughtful about my communication" and said he was "sorry for the sentence and for uttering it."
It is all about the hype and stoking dread risk fear.
How can anyone take the "reporting" of CNN seriously anymore. For many of us, it was obvious that CNN was in the tank with government for COVID-19 fearmongering. Now, there is no excuse for even the dimwitted to take CNN seriously.

The government, the corporate media, the “scientific” community that the corporate media favored and a good chunk of the scientific community as a whole that simply go along with agency recommendations – CDC, WHO, JAMMA, ect. – with not much more than a shrug even though they contradict decades of actual science and experience, have all failed to do their ostensible jobs.
ReplyDeleteIf just one of these groups did their jobs the New Abnormal would never have come about and C-19 would have been similar to a typical or bad flu season for all but a few regions like NYC that were hit particularly hard.
People would not be scared to death so they would not be rushing to the hospital or to get a P(C)R test (at 40 Ct) because of they have the sniffles. Or running around masked and standing in lines on the marks at two meters. There would be no designation of essential, no quarantine of the asymptomatic. None of it if just one of the mentioned entities had done their job.
The New Abnormal is a complete failure of the powers-that-should-not-be.
