Homeowner Sticks It To California Governor Newsom

Eldorad Hills

El Dorado Hills is an unincorporated CDP (census-designated place) just 22 miles east of the California state capital of Sacramento.

It is a conservative enclave that is recognized nationally for its high median household income, ranking 77th in CNN Money Magazine's best places to live.

A homeowner recently put his house up for sale. He learned that the state's governor, Gavin Newsom, was interested in buying the property. He immediately took it off the market.

Heroic! Always display prejudice against statists.

  1. You have to be careful. You can't let politicians move in or 'there goes the neighborhood'.

  2. First, how could a selfless public servant living austerely on his constituents' generous tithes afford to buy such a property? Second, doesn't he want to live among the commoners? Third, I suppose Newsom could always try the eminent-domain threat to force the owner's hand.

    1. Gov. Nuisance has some extra Fed Notes since he shut down his competitors in the winery business.

  3. Newsom is overcompensating, possibly because Donald Jr. is porking his ex-wife.
