A British teen petrified of being isolated with the coronavirus has died following a suicide attempt, according to a report.
Emily Owen, a 19-year-old waitress from King’s Lynn, about 100 miles north of London, died in a hospital Sunday after trying to take her own life due to fears of the “mental health impacts” of isolation amid the COVID-19 outbreak, the Sun reports.
Days before she was found on March 18, Owen warned relatives she was unable to deal with “her world closing in, plans being canceled and being stuck inside” during the global pandemic, according to the report.Sadly, Emily will not be the only one.
Not everyone can deal with the isolation marching orders of power freaks, some really need freedom always.
Owen had been diagnosed with “high-functioning autism” four years ago and struggled to fit in, her sister said.
Note: The New York Post mistitled this story: "Teen dies after suicide attempt due to coronavirus fears." She didn't commit suicide because she feared COVID-19, she committed suicide because she couldn't deal with draconian lockdown orders.

I just noticed it's more than odd that every article on her is worded as "suicide attempt" or "died after trying to take her life."
ReplyDeleteIt's just an odd & incorrect way to say what should be "she committed suicide" or "killed herself."
May her soul & all the souls of the faithful departed though the mercy of God rest in peace, Amen.
Truly a touching story about government failure. Very tragic. She may have taught her community a very sad, yet important lesson that life is worth taking risks in order to have liberty. RIP
