Kushner to Attend Saudi Economic Conference Hosted by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman

Jared Kushner
Jared Kushner is expected to visit Saudi Arabia next month for an economic conference, reports The Washington Post.

The conference is the Future Investment Initiative in Riyadh — unofficially known as “Davos in the Desert."

This is the conference that most US government and corporate officials canceled plans to attend last year following the of the murder of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi inside the Saudi embassy in Turkey (See: Mnuchin Bails on Saudi Arabian Financial Summit and Top Bankster Pulls Out of Saudi Conference Over Kashoggi Disappearance; Oil Spikes).

In an email statement to Wapo, a White House official said it was important for the administration to continue working with partners such as Saudi Arabia on a range of issues, including “the recent attack on the global economy” — a reference to drone and missile attacks on Saudi oil facilities last weekend.

The US-Israeli-Saudi alliance is apparently just fine.

The alliance will do nothing but cause trouble for the US. It ignores the advice of both George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.

"It is our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliance with any portion of the foreign world"  Washington said in his Farewell Address and his inaugural pledge, Jefferson said "Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations-entangling alliances with none."

If this was just about economics and following the thought of Washington and Jefferson, President Trump would lift all sanctions on Iran immediately. he won't. This is about global alliance politics that is always one bad move away from all out war.
