VIDEO: Howard Schultz Heckled at Book Event

Less than 24 hours after announcing on "60 Minutes" that he is considering running for president as an independent, former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz was heckled at a book event by a protester shouting, "Don't help elect Trump!" (See opening minutes of video below).

Many Democrats believe that if he runs as an independent he would do nothing but act as a spoiler by sucking votes away from the Democratic candidate and providing a path for a Trump re-election. If the extreme lefty warhawk Kamala Harris is the Democratic nominee, I say "Run Howard run!"

  1. I really hope the Dems. are worried about this. If he stays in long enough, it will force them to put a decent candidate forward if they dont want to lose. Right now, they can probably run some pretty extreme candidates and count on Trump hatred to get votes. If there is a more moderate alternative, they're going to have to be really careful who they run if they dont want to lose a significant portion of their base, and lose the election. The only way to make sure Shultz doesn't take their votes is to put in a moderate candidate so that Shultz doesn't offer anything their candidate doesn't. If this is Shultz's strategy, hats off to him.

  2. The heckler was probably a paid employee of the DNC. The RNC had some guy with a big loud horse laugh sit in the front row of the early Republican debates in 2008 with instructions to laugh his head off as loudly as possible whenever Ron Paul said anything.

  3. I wonder if as President he would make the White House bathrooms open to everyone, with needle disposal boxes?
