Ecuador's government has refused Julian Assange's lawyers [UK lawyer @suigenerisjen & Spanish lawyer Aitor MartÃnez] access to him this weekend (although the embassy is manned 24/7) to prepare for his US court hearing on Tuesday, reports Wikileaks.
There is speculation that Ecuador will soon turn Assange over to American authorities.
Reports are circulating that Vice President Michael Pence personally has been involved in negotiations over the turnover of Assange and that Pence has assured Ecuador that the United States government will not seek the death penalty for "crimes" it alleges Assange has committed.
