Seattle City Council Socialist Sawant Calls Jeff Bezos a ‘Bully’

Socilaist Kshama Sawant
Socialist Seattle City Council member Kshama Sawant, who supports a proposed employee head tax on large businesses  in Seattle, said this during an interview with Q13FOX about Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, who is opposed to the tax and has halted construction on a new Amazon office building because of the tax:

Jeff Bezos is a bully, I think we are in broad agreement on that. We saw the tweet from Bernie Sanders. What is happening is Amazon and Jeff Bezos are using their incomprehensible amount of wealth to hold an entire city hostage, to hold construction jobs hostage, saying they can’t pay a pocket change worth of taxes -- that’s the behavior of a bully.
If the head tax passes, it would affect 600 of the biggest businesses in Seattle raising about $75 million a year.

Sawant says many unions support the head tax but construction unions have come out loudly in opposition.

Union leaders say about 20,000 workers in King County alone are against the measure and they worry that working-class families will lose their jobs.

The popular Mexican presidential candidate Andrés Manuel López Obrador accused businessmen of being "robbers" and bullies who hinder progress and growth for not paying their fair share. Socialists act like members of a criminal enterprise, the only diffference being in how they rationalize their crimes.

  2. I always thought the bullies were the ones extorting money from everyone and hurting the people who refused. Silly me.

  3. I go to Seattle on a regular basis for work. The filth, squalor and sheer size of the homeless camps are unbelievable. They shit on the freaking sidewalks. It's a Misesian/Rothbardian dystopia.

    1. That's probably why Sawant feels at home there, after growing up shitting in the streets of Mumbai. She just needs more magic dirt and then she'll realize the value of indoor plumbing.

  4. Huh...Jeff Bezos doesn't force me to use Amazon, I choose to because I like the service they provide.

The unfortunate souls/idiots who live in Seattle don't have that with Sawant, outside of election time (maybe).

  5. I'm sure glad she is a 1st generation American born of immigrants. I mean, if would let the rest of the turd world into this country surely their children would become limited government, NAP loving, libertarians.

    1. She was born in Pune. The problems she is causing are another argument for entry criteria.

    3. I have a friend who was born in India who is a very hardcore libertarian and another who is a white American and is a socialist. Guess neither one realized that their beliefs are supposed to depend on skin color. Maybe one day they will advance to lab's oh so superior intillectual level and realize how much easier it is to just vote by race.

    4. Do you ever give it a rest, TLM? Are you unable to offer any other perspective or insight other than "the rest of the world's people are turds" and "limited-government loving libertarians suck"---? YOU'RE like a homeless person, crapping all over the dining room of a high-class, fine-dining establishment.

Libertarians whine that every single problem in society is the result of the state. You guys are autism incarnate .

    6. Hey Paul, you shouldn't say things like that because it makes you look stupid. And on so many different levels.

If lolbertarians are the ones calling me stupid then I must be doing something right. Go back to crying about the NAP and kvetching about imaginary lines.

    8. Ditto on my previous tweet. Let us know when you have anything of substance to say that doesn't involve cute modifications of words and names so that they contain other words and names. So creative guys. Your mothers must be very proud of you.

My comment isn't political, but rather speaks to TLM incessant crass and vapid contributions in the comments section. Yours too, I would add.

So why is it that Japan doesn't have a problem with muslim terrorism or black violent crime rates? Is it because you know a peaceful muslim or a successful black person?

Since we have a state, all we're asking for is it to enforce the borders like the law says it should. Absent a state, we would be free to form white societies (which you would live in while simultaneously demonizing so you could virtue signal how not racist you are) and not be forced to interact with people we don't like.

The entire country is not your safe space.

    14. How ignorant can you possibly be Paul?

You seriously don't know of any historical events that happened in the US but not in Japan that could explain 1. The fact we even have black people here in any substantial number and 2. Why the crime rate in some black populations is high.

Can't think of any explanation as to why the US has more black crime than Japan? If this is the case, and you are correct that intelligence is caused by race, then white people must be the dumbest group of people on the face of the earth.
