Mother Shoots and Kills Gunman Outside School

A gunman who targeted a group of families gathered for a Mother's Day celebration at a school in Brazil was fatally shot by an off-duty cop, Katia Sastre.

It should be noted that it was fortunate there was a copper amongst the mothers.

Like many places in America, there are strict gun laws in Brazil which make it difficult to protect yourself.

In Brazil, all firearms are required to be registered with the minimum age for gun ownership being 25. It is generally illegal to carry a gun outside a residence, and a special permit granting the right to do so is granted to certain groups, such as, naturally, government law enforcement officers.

  1. A best friend of mine who is a Brazilian, told me the locals in Brazil are using this to push for ending the strict gun laws there. Hopefully they will achieve something from it.

  2. Thankfully he died from his wounds. She should have fired more shots when she had the chance.

    1. I like the fact that she leaned in for the shot with full intent. If you pull a gun do what she did aim to drop the assailant and end the threat.
