Tom Woods Responds to Ron Paul Curriculum Article

Tom Woods
Tom Woods emails from his Contra Cruise:
Bob,

I was disappointed to see your post. That case appears to be quite exceptional. I have an endless
series of testimonials from students who rave about the curriculum. Our retention rate is through the roof, which obviously means a heck of a lot more than does one anecdote.

My own daughters use it, for heaven's sake. I happen to have the means to provide them with pretty much any education I want. I wouldn't choose anything but the best.

In the interest of equal time, perhaps you could see fit to post this overview video of the curriculum?

RW note: For the record, in my original post,  Is The Ron Paul Curriculum Failing Its Students?, I stated that:
Now, I read the entire blog post, including the Dr. North responses, and the reponses did not strike me as particularly arrogant.
And I also wrote:
Dr. North might be a little cranky but I tell you the man is a genius. I know some very smart people and he ranks above most of them....

Indeed, if I could do high school over again, there is no question that Dr. North would be my first choice to study under...

Lillie, you have a talent for writing. I hope you and Dr. North can somehow reconcile. I can't think of an educator at the high school level that you could learn more from...

In the case of Dr. North, the valuable stuff he offers is very valuable and it is unlikely to be found anywhere else.
In other words, just to be clear, the Ron Paul Curriculum appears to me to be the best in the world.

And I only wish I had Dr. Woods and Dr. North teaching me in high school.

I was going gently on Lillie Riccioli in my original post because I know how difficult the high school years can be adjusting in the world, but I did say:
Lillie, you have a talent for writing. I hope you and Dr. North can somehow reconcile. I can't think of an educator at the high school level that you could learn more from.
Just forget any minor stuff, which from my battle-scarred view isn't even there, and grab what you can from two of the greatest teachers in the world, Dr. Woods and Dr. North.

  1. I found it very interesting, and it did not put a bad taste in my mouth as far as the RPC is concerned. I still plan on putting my kids in the curriculum.

  2. The RPC is awesome. I sat through several of the videos with my kids, and loved it. I would compare it to Tom Woods “Liberty Classroom”, essentials if you want to arm yourself with the truth, and be able to convey that truth to others.

  3. Tom Woods had learned a lot about online marketing, that's why even for a somewhat serious topic as this is, he takes the time to brag about all the options he has to educate his children. Brilliant and well compensated guy, but damn, rub it in our face at every turn?
