Laurence Vance: My Standard is Rothbardian, Plumb-Line Libertarianism

Laurence Vance writes:
I Am Not Disappointed in Trump
Trump is not a libertarian. He is all over the map and bad on most issues. He has named, and will name, some horrendous people to be in his cabinet and head federal agencies. I may not like it, but this does not disappoint me. Since Trump is not a libertarian, I expect his appointments to be all over the map and mostly bad. And since Trump is not a libertarian, I don’t have high expectations for him. And I certainly don’t expect him to act like a libertarian. So I will never be disappointed in Trump. I am glad that he won instead of the wicked witch of the world, but I did not vote for him and am sure that I will find much to criticize over the next four years since my standard is Rothbardian, plumb-line libertarianism.

I think this is what most libertarians on your site are saying. They prefer Trump, enjoy CalExit, and are glad not to have to see Hillary's face on TV and every time they open the paper, but they don't support Trump.

By the way, Block has disbanded libertarians for Trump, right?

  3. Although it's not obvious Trump won't be as bad, Six Bullets Dodged with Hillary's Loss is interesting.

    1. I can agree with all of those. On the foreign policy front it seems that Hillary wanted Russia, Trumps wants the Middle East.
