President Obama has announced his reading list for his annual two-week summer vacation on Martha’s Vineyard, Mass. He has five books on the list.
I won't be reading any of them. Although he has a Neal Stephenson book on the list and I believe Doug Casey is a fan of Stephenson, or at least of his book, The Diamond Age.
I bought the book but couldn't get passed the first chapter.

Stephenson is a bit of an acquired taste. His novels have an overriding technical theme, usually mathematical. He then builds a story around it. You get a great novel and get to learn something technical also. Not everyone's cup of tea, but it's amazing for those of us that appreciate it.
