Giuliani Calls For 'Boots on the Ground' to Defeat ISIS; Calls for Killing Civilians

It isn't clear how close of a policy adviser to Donald Trump that former New York City mayor RudyGiuliani is though they are at least friends.

But Giuliani took Trump's troops on the ground to defeat ISIS theme to a completely new level.

According to The Hill,  Giuliani on Sunday reiterated his call for ground forces to be deployed to defeat ISIS.

During a radio interview with John Catsimatidis Sunday, Giuliani said he’s confident in the military’s ability to defeat ISIS but that it will require using all of the tools it has at its disposal.
“It will have to require, yes, boots on the ground, which the president is constantly saying he never wants to do,” he said. “Well maybe we’re going to lose more lives if we don’t put boots on the ground — in fact, we will. These people see our weakness and they’re taking advantage of it.”

He also called the president’s use of timetables for withdrawing troops in Iraq and Afghanistan “an admission of defeat.”

Then he went full bore Ayn Rand Institute nuts.

“I think they’re emboldened now by Obama’s lack of real response, his worry about killing civilians,” Giuliani added of ISIS. “I don’t want to kill civilians, you don’t want to kill civilians, but if these people are using civilians as shields, which they’re doing, we’ve got to take them out.”

  2. Giuliani never encountered a problem he didn't think he could solve by acting like a big tough man and swinging his sick at it. What a joke of a human being.

  3. The civilians as shields thing is quite simple. If you are willing to bomb them regardless, they will stop using it as a tactic. You only need to do it a few times.

As for Islamic State, it will collapse when we stop tacitly supporting it as Trump will find out when he is president.

Wow! I'm pretty sure that's about what the German high command said about the Lusitania during WWI. And I'm also pretty sure I don't have to tell anyone what the fallout of that idiotic decision led to... economic collapse... Adolph Hitler... It was a bad decision then, and it would be a bad decision now.

Whether its Rudolph Giuliani, Madeline Albright, Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump or any of the rest of the idiocracy, if there is something stupid to be done that will increase their political power, as a politician, you can be sure they will do it.
