Friday Night, George Clooney and His Wife Amal Hosted a Fundraiser for Hillary Clinton in San Francisco...

But he then said the following about the event:
The Sanders campaign, when they talk about it, is absolutely right. It’s ridiculous that we should have this kind of money in politics. I agree completely.
This is what happens when an elitist lefty comes up against the proletariat. The elitist becomes a self-hating elitist---but doesn't stop the party.

A couple needed to raise or contribute $353,400 for premium seats at the head table. Lower priced options were a $100,000 ticket that got you into the host reception or a $33,400 seat that includes the opportunity to take a photo with Clinton.

“Yes. I think it’s an obscene amount of money,” Clooney told Chuck Todd in  a pre-recorded interview to be aired Sunday on Meet the Press. “I think that, you know, we had some protesters last night when we pulled up in San Francisco and they’re right to protest. They’re absolutely right. It is an obscene amount of money.”

So what did he do about it? On Saturday night, he hosted another fundraiser for Hillary in his Los Angeles home.

According to Deadline, the two events combined raised $15 million for Hillary.

The Bay Area event was held at the home of venture capitalist Shervin Pishevar. The L.A. fund-raiser was attended by Steven Spielberg and wife Kate Capshaw.

On Friday, three hundred protesters, most of them supporters of  Bernie Sanders, demonstrated outside the house of Pishevar as the event went on.
