BATHROOM CORRECTNESS: ESPN Fires Red Sox Great

File under: Anatomy denial

"ESPN is an inclusive company," said the network in a statement on Wednesday. "Curt Schilling has been advised that his conduct was unacceptable and his employment with ESPN has been terminated.”

Schilling tweeted a meme that showed a man with a long wig, cut-out shirt, and stockings saying, “Let him in! To the restroom with your daughter or else you’re a narrow minded, judgmental, unloving, racist bigot who needs to die!!”

On a later comment, Schilling said, “A man is a man no matter what they call themselves. I don’t care what they are, who they sleep with, men’s room was designed for the penis, women’s not so much. Now you need laws telling us differently? Pathetic.”

  1. This isn't entirely related, but it is in the same ballpark. Andrew Shaw of the Chicago Blackhawks was suspended one game for yelling a gay slur in the final minutes of game 4 in the Blues-Blackhawks playoff series.
To put this in perspective a Flyers player in the Flyers-Capitals series was suspended one game for hitting a Capitals player in the boards which could have broken his neck and injured him for life.

  2. LIve by the free market, die by the free market. Why are you surprised or outraged, Robert? The free market is now embracing political correctness.

  3. Of course they have a "right" to do it; but it's not right.

  4. Yes, but then to call themselves "inclusive"? Do they even know what that means?
