    Strategic Communications or "Stratcom" is the new .gov buzzword these days and narratives are the weapon. It really is an "infowar." See 9/29 Robert Parry article "The Power of False Narrative" which describes how .gov puts "white hats" on everything the US does and "black hats" on everything done by anyone else. Also see 10/1 article by Peter Van Buren titled "Sustaining Perpetual War: The Bloodless Narrative." You can find both articles over at antiwar(dot)com.
