Rand Paul Campaign Strikes Back at Ed Crane, Purple PAC Story

As a follow up to my post, Ed Crane Just Punched Rand Paul in the Gut, Rand Campaign Communications Director Segio Gor emails:
It is untruthful for a story to say that this Super PAC stopped supporting Senator Paul, when in fact they don't seem to have lifted a finger in the first place.
From the Purple PAC web site:
Founded in 2013 by Cato Institute co-founder Ed Crane, the Purple PAC is a super PAC devoted to electing libertarian-oriented candidates and promoting libertarian issues. The Purple PAC has no relationship to the Cato Institute or the Libertarian party. It is currently devoted to promoting the presidential candidacy of Republican Rand Paul.
Purple PAC raised $1.2 million in the first half of the year. There are no filings, to date, which show the Purple PAC spending money on any candidates.
