Carly Fiorina: "Look at This Face"

Carly Fiorina has once again responded to  Donald Trump's "look at this face," comment.

She began her speech Friday night to the National Federation of Republican Women in Phoenix by saying,  "Ladies, look at this face. This is the face of a 61-year-old woman. I am proud of every year and every wrinkle."

Aside from the comment itself, I think Trump made a tactical error going after Fiorina at all, but especially in the manner he did. It puts focus on her and the fact that she can handles situations with aplomb.

(Comment is at the start of the clip.)

  1. I somewhat suspect there may be a strategy Trump is employing with these comments and the comments he made on Megyn Kelly. I'm not trying to stereotype, but there is a segment of the black population that this type of rhetoric appeals to. Trump has so far attacked someone who is perceived as a spoiled good looking blonde white woman and basically just called a rich white woman ugly. He's "throwing shade" at them. And given that Trump has the best poll numbers with blacks than any other Republican candidate in history, his strategy might be working.

  2. Ok, great. You're proud of being an old hag. Wonderful. Now what about your econ, foreign, and immigration policies? Let's talk about those.

"It puts focus on her and the fact that she can handles situations with aplomb."

Sounds more like she's trying to convince herself if you ask me.
