Politics USA: "Republican Voters Declare Rand Paul The Biggest Loser in Thursday’s Debate"

Another brutal hitfmor Rand. Politics USA reports:
A Gravis Marketing post-debate poll released on August 7th found that according to registered Republican voters, Rand Paul was the biggest loser in Thursday’s GOP debate. 67 percent of Republicans said they had a less favorable opinion of Senator Paul after the debate, compared to a mere 14 percent who said their opinion of Rand Paul was more favorable after the debate.

Only 3 percent of Republicans felt Rand Paul won the debate, while 34 percent thought he gave the worst performance in the ten candidate field. Rand Paul emerged as the clear loser in the debate, while retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson came out as the winner of the debate, according to the Gravis Marketing poll.

Rand Paul engaged in contentious clashes with GOP front-runner Donald Trump and with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, and Senator Paul ended up on the losing end of both testy exchanges. He came across as cranky and petty, and in so doing, he allowed more affable candidates like Ben Carson and Marco Rubio to present themselves as likable alternatives...
It takes some really poor political instincts to finish last in a ten person debate field, but Senator Rand Paul was up to the task. With his pathetic debate performance on Thursday there is a possibility that he will drop in the polls, and end up losing his place on the big stage to an upstart from the “children’s table” debate like former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina.

  1. Any poll that said Carson did well is a joke.
    And Christie? Seriously?
I'm not a Rand apologist, but any poll that says Christie did better than Rand is a joke, especially one that says Carson did well.
Btw, my opinion, they all sucked.

  2. Rand... seemed to squirm around and look down a lot like he was immature and uncomfortable. Has he sold out only to forget the superficial characteristics that he needs to win? So much for being a "better communicator' than his father. Probably won't get a audience of 24 million again, Rand really blew it.

  3. Taking into account how utterly stupid AND mis-informed the Republican base truly is, why did Rand ever think he could B.S. his way into getting those people to support him? Regardless of what you think of him, his point during the debate about government snooping should have EVERYONE in an uproar. But basically no one cases. Edward Snowden should be a hero to all. Instead, the guy who wants to torture him is leading the polls. 99.99% of the Republican base have no idea that Iran has no nuclear weapons program, that Obama has destroyed the prosperous secular nations of Libya and Syria and they don't care about it if you tell them.

The Democrat base wildly supports the political philosophy responsible for 100 million deaths in the 20th Century and they do not care about Obama's crimes either.

And, after all of this, average people still do not know that inflation is not a mysterious force of nature that only political programs can fix.

  4. Let's not discount the fact that Rand was also the only one who went after Trump.
