Rand Paul: "We Need to Tell Cities Like San Francisco to Obey the Federal Law"

Rand Paul appeared on Sean Hannity last night objecting to "sanctuary cities," that refuse to recognize federal immigration laws. He said,"We need to tell cities Like San Francisco to obey the federal law and immigration is federal law... If you’re wanted for a petty crime, but immigration service wants you for another crime, when you’re released, you should go into federal jurisdiction or federal prison."

So much for the great advocate of local rights over federal law.

From an anarcho-capitalist perspective, he was truly horrific. He continued:
What we can’t have is a lawless nation. And that’s sort of what we have now is a lawless border. And people have talked a lot about what immigration reform or security measures are necessary. Really, what we need is an enforcer. We haven’t had a Republican or a Democrat in the White House who is willing to enforce immigration laws.

  1. Surely what he really means by following federal law is that San Francisco should nullify EBT, Section 8, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, etc. hand outs that attract illegal immigrants, as that's not a power designated to congress in Article I, Section 8.

Hey, this fanboy excuse generator game is fun!
