Breaking: Huffington Post Will Not Cover Trump as Part of Its Presidential Campaign Coverage

The Huffington Post has released the following statement:
After watching and listening to Donald Trump since he announced his candidacy for president, we have decided we won't report on Trump's campaign as part of The Huffington Post's political coverage. Instead, we will cover his campaign as part of our Entertainment section. Our reason is simple: Trump's campaign is a sideshow. We won't take the bait. If you are interested in what The Donald has to say, you'll find it next to our stories on the Kardashians and The Bachelorette.
The bylined writers of the statement are Ryan Grim, Washington bureau chief for The Huffington Post and Danny Shea,Editorial Director, The Huffington Post.

I am far from a fan of Donald Trump as a politician but it is positively bizarre to claim that Trump is not a serious candidate, when he is polling at the top of the Republican field.

Are what we really seeing is HuffPo elitist/establishment ties showing? Is this the first of many mainstream media outfits that will stop covering Trump becasue he is "not serious."

Hint to the elitists: It is this patrolling of the fences to allow only mainstream propaganda to get out that is fueling the anti-establishment candidates.

You have basically called those supporting Trump as not serious, that's going to work real well. You have just thrown gasoline soaked logs on the fire.

  2. I'd say the entire Huffington Post qualifies as entertainment - a freak show. Not that I have any sympathy towards the fascist freak they're so trying to turn into a folk hero.

It seems to me this is likely intentional...

  4. Well those who are supporting Trump aren't exactly intelligent and aren't much better than the morons who support Sanders but your point stands.
