Back in April, FW, Rand's former pollster told me and I reported:
In New Hampshire, Wenzel expects Rand to do better because there is a strong undertone of NH voters who like an independent streak, and view Rand in that camp. Though, Wenzel warned that if Donald Trump gets serious about running that is going to be a problem for Rand. He said NH voters like Trump and that is why he is spending much more time there than in Iowa.
According to the latest poll numbers published by Daily Caller:
[Jeb] Bush, the former governor of Florida, was the favorite for 21 percent of likely Republican primary voters. Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and Kentucky U.S. Sen. Rand Paul tied in second with a 13 percent showing. Surprisingly, real estate billionaire Donald Trump polled fourth with 12 percent of the tally.
Got that?
Trump hasn't even announced if he is running. He hasn't started any major camapign but he is neck and neck with Rand 13% to 12%.

When D.T. announces he will surge past Rand and many of the other Repub-jerks. Name recognition is NOT a problem for Trump and his views, thought mostly dumb, resonate with potential voters who are sick to death with politics as usual.
ReplyDeleteI'll be honest, I hope Trump becomes president just for the comedy and drama that will occur if he does.
DeleteWho better to guide the country through strategic default?

Politically, Trump does know more than the political insider types who obsess over statistics and focus groups. I remember in 2012 when Karl Rove and every other "expert" said it would be political suicide to even mention Obama's birth certificate. So what did Trump do? He made it his top issue and shot to number #1 in the polls.
DeleteShouldn't we add up all of the warmonger totals vs. Rand's totals? Sucking up to Israel has certainly paid off for Rand, hasn't it? We don't trust him to be peaceful and the warmongers don't trust him to be a reliable warmonger.
ReplyDeleteBefore I get interested, I will wait to see if Trump can hold these numbers after he announces and hits the campaign trail. Right now he is like the second-string QB on the football team right now, everyone is screaming for him until he enters the game and throws a wobbly pass.
