Obama said of non-nuclear Cuba: "These 50 years have shown that isolation does not work."
How true. Isolation and sanctions do not work. Nice of Obama to finally come around, even with neocons kicking and screaming in opposition.
Obama has approached non-nuclear Iran the same way. Thirty-five years of isolation and sanctions have not worked. Once again, nice of this President to come around, even with neocons again kicking and screaming along the way.
But what about nuclear Russia?
Ahhh....it is here that Obama tosses his logic and common sense out the window.
The "Group of Seven" foolish western governments met over the weekend and are united that sanctions against Russia must remain in place.
Obama also points out that Russia has once again not been invited to join the pow-wow with the rest of the gang of fools. Obama says that "it's an example of Russia's isolation."
Apparently, Obama believes that sanctions and isolation will work against a major nuclear power like Russia, even though they failed against the non-nuclear Cuba and Iran.
I kid you not.
