New Hampshire is not a closed primary state. Undeclared voters — those not registered with any party — can vote in either party's primary. That means registered Democrats or Republicans can also unregister and declare themselves unenrolled, freeing them up to "cross over" and vote in the other party's primary.

A greater threat to Rand in the primaries may be Donald Trump. Remember, pollster Fritz Wenzel told me that a  Trump entry into the Republican primary is going to cuse problems fort Rand.
