Politicians are like lemmings. As soon as they're confident that they've got the public fooled with a bad idea, they jump on.
The Iraq debacle has been a classic lemming-fest. One bad idea has been consistently replaced with another. The latest grasp for straws involves the U.S. arming the Kurds in Iraq to fight against ISIS. Yes, yet another episode of "let's arm somebody." The military-industrial-complex couldn't be happier to hear about this idea.
The lemmings are running in sync: there's Jeb, and Krauthammer, and Huckabee, and Rubio, and McCain & Graham.
Just keep the charade going. Who else can these warmongers arm?
No one seems to be asking why the Kurds would fight and die for a U.S. puppet (Shia) government in Iraq. Is that just supposed to be taken as a given?
Daniel McAdams on yesterday's Ron Paul Liberty Report showers truth on the lemmings:
“The Kurds have only fought for Kurdish areas. They’re fighting for something very different than what the U.S. wants. They’re fighting to carve out a piece of Iraq for their homeland, so it’s inevitable that the Kurdish strategy and the Iraq & U.S. strategy are going to collide. It’s inevitable.”What's another foolish action added to the 12yr sinkhole known as the Iraq invasion?

Arming the Kurds is like sticking a finger in Turkey's eye. They'll react by upping their support for ISIS.
ReplyDeleteNow, we've got a whole new clusterf---.
What geniuses we have in DC.
BTW, I'm sympathetic to the Kurds, but they're big boys. they can handle their affairs pretty well.
