On the Myth That Government is Required to Accomplish True Charity

Obama is big on pushing this one when he wants the government involved in taking your money, taking a cut and then dishing it out to others. He calls it the "neighborly thing to do." In fact, it is a scam and an insult to the American people that government need to be coerced into charity. When people see true cases of need, they respond without any need for government involvement.

  1. "When people see true cases of need, they respond without any need for government involvement."

Also, people are much quicker and more generous! The article elaborates:

"The family of a window washer who fell 11 stories from the top of a San Francisco building has raised more than $70,000 in just 17 days, nearly four times what they had hoped." And:

"As of Monday morning, a total of 1,155 people had raised $72,670, far surpassing the $20,000 goal the family had set."

All this without a gun pointed at a single person! Amazing!!

  3. We had a similar thing happen in our home town. A lady posted on FB that she had a family recently displaced from their home and in need of food and Christmas gifts for the 3 children. In less than a week, we had paid for extending their hotel stay, paid for a Christmas dinner for 7, found a tree, and had presents for all 3 kids. With money left over to stock the fridge. All from a town of less than 1500 people.
