The pro-democracy protests are apparently over in Hong Kong. Throughout the entire episode I watched the pictures in wonderment. Fighting with the cops, tear gas, water cannons, hunger strikes...
And for what? Democracy? Democracy is just a reshuffling of the criminal class.
To the people of Hong Kong, I would say:
What do you think Democracy would be like? Don't let the Kardashians fool you. Perhaps, I, as someone who also lives in the land of "Rock The Vote" should tell you a few things.
Do you think with Democracy, you won't be taxed to death? On the contrary, it's a welfarist's dream come true. And I'm not just talking about the poor. The rich know how to skillfully "Rock The Vote" too.
Do you think you won't be regulated to death? In the U.S., the total cost of complying with federal regulations just last year was $1.86 Trillion.
Democracy and war? Let's just say the Kings of the old days wouldn't believe the number of casualties that Democracies have racked up. Nor would they be able to comprehend the number of innocent civilians that are routinely killed as a part of today's "enlightened" warfare.
Democracy and torture? You'll find that not only does the "exceptional" U.S. government torture, but many other Democracies around the world supplied the secret prisons. And get this: Poland....Yes the very same POLAND that housed Auschwitz was one of them!
How's that for Democracy?
Perhaps you think that your "representatives" will look out for your interests. First of all, that's impossible. But furthermore, you might want sharpen your moral principles a bit. Don't look to use force against your neighbors. That's all democratic government is, aggressive force.
Going back to the so-called "representatives," here's Ron Paul explaining a $1.1 Trillion (<---with a T) spending bill that just passed in the U.S.:
The political class breathed a sigh of relief Saturday when the US Senate averted a government shutdown by passing the $1.1 trillion omnibus spending bill. This year’s omnibus resembles omnibuses of Christmas past in that it was drafted in secret, was full of special interest deals and disguised spending increases, and was voted on before most members could read it. (emphasis added)Democracy, from start to finish, is a complete nightmare. You want to really scare the pants off your masters? Don't demand a bogus "right" to vote. Tell them you want Liberty. Then you'll see them really light up. The fangs will come out.
Let's just put it this way: You won't get water cannons that just whisk you back to your home. You'll get the real bullets.
That's what the real battle is. The criminal class vs. everyone else. Democracy is just a smoke and mirrors way of the criminals organizing themselves.
Lick your wounds Hong Kong. You barked up the wrong tree. Democracy is an idea that is so early 1900's. By now, it's a total failure. Democratic governments are everywhere, and they're like strung-out drug addicts.
