Rand Paul is bringing on Mitch McConnell’s national finance director, Laura Sequeira, to play a key fundraising role at his political-action committee ahead of an expected 2016 presidential campaign, reports NRO.
This is big. Mitch is buying Rand and Rand will fall in line SEE: Another Rand Move Toward the Establishment (Shockingly on NSA).
I have long stated that as we get closer to the 2016 primaries, Rand is going to get more centrist and establishment. As this happens, Rand will get more crony establishment support.
The establishment doesn't bet on horses they don't own.
