Cato's Principled Leader vs. A Real Principled Leader

By Chris Rossini

Remember "libertarian" Cato Institute's Principled Leader?

Well, yesterday, Christie had to deal with a lone heckler. Here's how The Boss responded to him:
“I’ve been here when the cameras aren’t here, buddy, and done the work. I'm glad you had your day to show off, but we're the ones who are here to actually do the work,” Christie said. "So listen, you want to have the conversation later, I’m happy to have it, buddy. But until that time, sit down and shut up.”
The Cato Institute really hitched its wagon to a star.

Let's now contemplate another leader, but not one who heads up a violent gang. This person was (and remains) a champion of peace and liberty. He had to put up with thousands of hecklers at one time while on the debate stage. Even the debate moderators were against him.

You know the leader I'm referring to right?

Cato's leader couldn't handle a single heckler without blowing his top.

Ron Paul handled a never-ending barrage of slings and arrows. And he continues to confront them today like a Saint.

That's the "power of principled leadership'".

ESCALATION: A New Front in the Chris Christie versus Rand Paul War

WaPo explains:
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) don't like each other. This isn't "news," as such...

Now, a new front has been opened: How scared we should be about Ebola.

Paul has suggested that Ebola poses more of a threat than the White House is willing to admit...
In an interview with a radio station in Kentucky, Paul went further. "[T]his is an incredibly contagious disease," he said. "People in full gloves and gowns are getting it. So really [the White House] needs to be honest this is a very transmissible disease."

Enter his nemesis from Jersey. Speaking at Hackensack University Medical Center, Christie described talking to his young daughter about why she doesn't need to worry about the disease...

"I listened to her for a long time about what her concerns were for a few minutes. And then I said to her, listen it’s not going to happen," he said. "You’re not going to get it. That’s not the way this works. It’s not like getting a cold which is what she was really worrying about."

He continued: "The hysteria that’s going on in terms of the coverage, just the volume of coverage. Put aside the content. Just the volume of coverage is leading a lot of children to be concerned about this in a way that just isn’t proportional to the risk."
I give the nod to the man with the tied-stomach for the win on correct Ebola commentary.

UPDATE: The tied stomach man has sent out this tweet, which appears to be even more of a direct attack on Rand:

Is Chris Christie Better on the Minimum Wage than Rand Paul?

I am no fan of the fat man tied-stomach man, but he is correct on minimum wage.

“I gotta tell you the truth,” New Jersey Governor Christie said yesterday in Bethesda, MD. “I’m tired of hearing about the minimum wage. I really am. I don’t think there’s a mother or father sitting around a kitchen table tonight in America who is saying, ‘You know what, if our son or daughter could just make a higher minimum wage, you know what, all our dreams would be realized.’ ”

Meanwhile, Rand has been doing the Al Sharpton dance meeting with those in Ferguson, MO but failing to inform the urban primitives about the role of the minimum wage in preventing them from entering the above ground work force.
