  1. Well, good for him, but I'm so tired of people saying there's no systemic racism when the drug war, minimum wage laws and gun control are staring us in the face.

  2. The "drug war, minimum wage laws and gun control" are not evidence of "systemic racism" but systemic stupidity! The ability to make distinctions is the mark of an intelligent person...you might want to practice this skill a bit before you make your next comment!

    1. James, the drug war, minimum wage laws and gun control all have racist origins and continue to be racist scourges on our society. Lookup a guy named Harry J. Anslinger who created the drug war to target people of color a hundred years ago. Look up the comments of the racist progressive economists who promoted the minimum wage - I'll help you: https://fee.org/articles/7-quotes-that-reveal-the-racist-origins-of-minimum-wage-laws/ . Hope you're aware that the first gun control law were enacted against former slaves.

And these laws are STILL ON THE BOOKS a hundred or more years later. After a while, the institutional (government) racism bleeds over into society as a whole. How often are people of color referred to as "drug addicts", "unemployed/unemployable", or are living in violent neighborhoods where there is little opportunity. It starts with the racist laws and over time the racism becomes systemic and becomes a stigma that affects all people of color.

100+ years of racist laws = systemic racism. I just don't see how you can get around that point.

    2. So are laws against violent crime proof of systemic racism as well, since black males commit almost HALF of the violent crimes despite being about seven percent of the population?

    3. Well, there are sentencing disparities that disproportionally affect people of color, but I'm not sure that is what you are referring to.

    4. No, I'm not referring to sentences I'm referring to the crimes themselves. Please explain why about seven percent of the population commits almost half the violent crime.

    5. Well, for starters, we have racist laws on the books that turn drug use into a crime and then we dump crack cocaine into the inner cities and then we deny 2nd amendment rights there and make sure the minimum wage keeps the youth unemployed and then they wind up shooting it out over black market drug territory. Who is surprised about this?

    6. So why is it that whites don't engage in this same behavior at the same rate as blacks? Why are countries run and inhabited by blacks violent and poor?

    7. You seem to have racist blinders on that you can't see beyond.

Back in the 1850's it was the Irish who were stigmatized, scorned and cast to the edge of society. Was that because of race?

    8. You seem to be avoiding the question. Why do blacks commit violent crimes at a much higher rate than other races?

    9. I don't know, why don't we do an experiment where we deny white people their right to self-defense, deny their youth any gainful employment, prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law for the slightest drug violation - and plant the drugs if none are found, give them longer sentences for violent crimes than any other racial group, and do this for 100+ YEARS. And for good measure, let's dump loads of crack cocaine into their neighborhoods.

Then, let's compare and ask the question you pose above.

    10. Blacks on average have lower IQs, higher time preferences, less impulse control and less ability to delay gratification than do whites. They also have higher levels of testosterone which increase aggression. The combination of all these factors would seem to be a more plausible explanation for their behavior than white racism. If white racism is the sole factor keeping blacks down, why do so many blacks immigrate to the majority white USA from countries with almost no whites at all? It would seem silly that black Africans would come to the USA in droves simply to be oppressed.

  3. Thanks for the history lesson Karsten and, while I don't normally criticize someone's religious beliefs, thanks for making my point about stupidity being systemic in the Church of Critical Racial Awareness.

    1. You make racist laws, you get a racist system. How else did you think it was going to work out?

    2. @Karsten

Why is it Haiti is such a shithole? You would think that after the blacks killed all the evil white oppressors they would have Wakanda by now. Please explain how racism is still keeping them (and every other black country for that matter) down.

    3. You can look here for starters: https://www.heritage.org/index/country/haiti . I don't think you need to reach for a racial component to explain their situation.

    4. Odd that of the eighteen countries listed as repressed, not a single one of them is a majority white country. The most plausible explanation must be that concepts like property rights and the rule of law are racist constructs.

    5. You are attributing to race what obviously has to do with political and economic situations. North and South Korea have virtually identical racial makeup, but NK is near the bottom of the list, SK near the top. Is this because of race?

    6. Well, east Asians have a much higher IQ on average than do blacks. Combine higher IQs with traits such as as low time preferences and the ability to delay gratification and you have a much higher probability that those people will have functional societies. North Korea has unfortunately adopted a form of government and economic controls that is heavily promoted by another race (whom we can't name) and the result is oppression. Couple that with the fact that South Korea effectively doesn't pay for their own national defense and you get a fairly large disparity.
