Politico has come up with a list of politicians that are potential candidates to replace New York Governor Andrew Cuomo if he is forced from office.
There isn't a sane person on the list but certainly, by far, the most frightening name is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Politico notes:
No other potential candidate would dominate the conversation as much as Ocasio-Cortez. If she were to enter the race, it’s guaranteed that she will receive more airtime and national small-donor support than every other candidate combined. Her supporters would likely put more energy and volunteer more time into her candidacy than has ever before been put into a gubernatorial campaign.-RW
If you look at history like a comedy, then I don't think there's a better choice than AOC for governor

ReplyDeleteAOC frightens many. Perhaps I should say her apparent stupidity does. But we must remember that what a person thinks they know when elected is often discarded when they attempt to govern. That is because those seemingly simple problems they discuss at the bar, turn out to be far more complex in reality.

Is Ms Ocasio-Cortez behind the curtain - at the controls, so-to-say - of AOC? If she's just an actress playing her part, then it would be interesting to see how that would play out when the show moves to Albany.
ReplyDeleteLet's also keep in mind that governor of any state is closer to the people (i.e. the people feel the results much more practically) than a talking head senator who isn't accountable for anything on a day-to-day basis.
