Trump Campaign Throws Sydney Powell Under the Bus

Wow, so she was talking wacko nonsense all along and they had to ditch her.
Keep in mind,  Powell did a press conference with Giuliani and Ellis three days ago.

Was she controlled wacko opposition from the Deep State or just wacko?

Sources close to the president told the Washington Examiner neither the White House nor the Trump campaign have seen any of the evidence she claims to have related to assertions about voting machines switching millions of votes from President Trump to President-elect Joe Biden. They argued that her claims overshadowed what they see as legitimate concerns about the mail-in ballot process.

Even national security officials within the Trump administration said they have seen no evidence of Powell’s claims either.

“Sidney has made these claims, but she has not shown, to my knowledge, evidence to support them — not to the campaign and not to the White House … I don’t know anyone who has seen the evidence," one senior administration official told the Washington Examiner. “Where is that evidence? The more she goes out there, the more it overshadows the legitimate problems … The problem with this stuff is that you got so over-the-top and you overshadow the illegitimate improper things that were done.”

  1. It is weird. It is also fairly cryptic. The Trump campaign is filing suits tomorrow. Let’s see how this plays out. If those suits go through and gains traction, it will make me think it was a bargaining chip and she was over the target. Remember, dominion could sue her for libel. That they didn’t and ran from the hearing. Of course, we also could have entered the twilight zone.

  2. Robert Barnes on the Viva Frei podcast is saying that the Dominion voting thing was a disinformation campaign and Powell got suckered into it. It was a distraction from the more easily arguable evidence, distracted people from doing research on more easily arguable things, and a way to make the whole thing look ridiculous.

  3. It seems to go against Sydney Powell's reputation and history. Perhaps she got played? It's still suspicious that Dominion turtled up and you have the recording of the Antifa guy. Machine based voter fraud and hacking has to be possible and I have a hard time believing it isn't used to some degree.

Perhaps she flew too close to the sun? It is one thing to expose mail-in fraud for *this* election but exposing Dominion could expose mass election fraud throughout the world. I'm curious to see if the Trump team can make anything stick.

    1. She didn't "get played," she's just a Qtard who fell for a standard-issue disinformation campaign. Don't trust anything you hear in the media about how brilliant a lawyer on a big case is. They always say that, and it's almost never true. Vincent Bugliosi talks about this sort of thing in his book on the OJ Simpson trial:

"The reality is that the vast, overwhelming majority of trial lawyers in criminal jury trials are either incompetent or operating at a very low level of competence. And if most prominent trial lawyers met their reputations out on the street, they wouldn't recognize each other.

"In addition to novels and the screen, the media have been very complicit in perpetuating the myth. For example, cross-examination as bland as pablum is routinely reported to be 'rigorous' or 'withering.' Why? Because cross-examination is *supposed* to be rigorous and withering."

This is basically what happened with Sidney Powell. She has no background in election law, no understanding of elections, and no real arguments or evidence.

  4. I would't bet the farm on anything Robert Barnes says. This is a smart guy who massages reality to create advantageous narratives, thus shifting odds for this shrewd, big cigar, big gambling guy.

  5. Dear Readers,

In my report on the Giuliani Legal Team’s press conference ( https://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2020/11/19/giulianas-legal-team-presents-overview-of-election-fraud-evidence/ ), I expressed doubts about the connection the team drew between Dominion voting machines, Smartmatic software and Venezela where the technology is suspected of being used for electoral fraud.

I withdraw that doubt. Among Wikileaks’ releases of US Government data there is a classified cable that establishes the essential truth of the legal team’s charges.

  6. I think this is going to be one of these things we are never going to find out what is actually going on. The implications of what she was alleging were very scary, and if true, would threaten the world as we know it. It was too much, and my guess is that Trump team knew it was too much.

  7. There is a statement supposedly from her floating around where she says she never was a formal member of the Trump legal, implying the statement was merely about funding (she is independently funded) and that she will indeed file a case this week. I am reluctant to make conclusions about her until the time window for her to file a case has clearly passed and she either has filed, failed to try, or filed and been dismissed. I'm not sure what everyone's hurry is in joining the media's chorus against her.

    1. The hurry is that she is creating an easy target for MSM to discredit and imply that the entire election from claim is discredited. It takes focus away from the claims that are obvious and can be proven.

    2. But the Trump lawyers have already presented most or many of the other claims and have lost, haven't they?

  8. There's an interesting scene in the movie Edge Of Darkness where a fixer explains to a cop, "It's not my job to cover things up, I'm just here to confuse everyone. You'll know something happened, but you won't be able to figure out what it was."
