The Radical Left is in A Panic About the Overall Weak Democratic Showing in the Election: How Libertarians Can Take Advantage

As a result of Tuesday's election, Democrats lost seats in the House of Representatives and, if Republicans win the 2 runoff Senate elections in Georgia, Republicans will control the Senate.

Thus, even though Democrats are assuming a Joe Biden presidential victory, the hard left is unhappy. There was no Blue Wave.

The best indication of the global hard left panic because of the weak Democratic showing comes from economist and former Greek  Minister of Finance Yanis Varoufakis (5 minutes and 11 seconds).

He is correct, of course, a Republican-controlled Senate will block most of the mad lefty proposals.

But, still, Biden's controls have him talking extreme lefty talking points. Biden had this to say Friday night:

Meanwhile, because of the weak Democratic election showing, there is going to be a major battle within the Democratic Party, itself, between the hard left and more centrist Democrats.

The Hill reports:

Stung by their party’s dispiriting showing at the polls Tuesday, two moderate House Democrats say they and other centrists are privately discussing a plan that was unthinkable just 24 hours earlier: throwing their support behind a challenger to Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.)...

Heading into the polls, Pelosi enjoyed the overwhelming support of her caucus — facing no threat of a Speakership challenge — and Democratic leaders were eyeing big gains to their majority, with some estimates in the double digits.

But the early returns revealed a different reality: Not only did Democrats lose a number of their most vulnerable members, they had not picked off a single Republican incumbent heading into Wednesday evening...

With frustrations bubbling up, Pelosi has become an early target for moderates representing suburban districts worried that their leadership's strategy hurt such members heading into the polls.

“It’s time for Democrats to elevate a new generation of leadership in both the House and the Senate,” one of the Democrats told The Hill. “Americans are clearly afraid of ‘socialism,’ want safe streets and neighborhoods and to vote for people who they believe will help put more money in their pockets.

AOC and her crowd all retained their seats, and gained a couple, but there is a tremendous opportunity for pro-free market advancement. Trump supporters are unhappy with the results because it appears likely that their man has lost. These supporters' frustrations need to be channeled in a very free market direction.

If Biden does become president, he will do a lot of damage with his executive power but a lot of his lefty plans will be stopped by Mitch McConnell rear-guard action if Republicans hold the Senate.

This will be the time to build a powerful pro-liberty, pro-free market force. The pro-liberty, pro-free market message must be presented to Trump supporters on a daily basis.

As the hard left counters the centrists in the Democratic Party, they will expose all their authoritarian plans, they will become a pinata that libertarians can swing at every day from a hard free market position. This is no time for halfway free market talk, it is a time to deliver the entire free market message. This is our time. This is our opportunity.

Trumpism needs to be turned into libertarianism. Indeed, the term Trumpism should be co-opted by us to mean free markets and liberty.

  1. Why is everyone assuming that the GOP will control the Senate? Are the run-offs in GA that much of a sure thing?

  2. No they are not. The election will be conducted with the same in person + mail-in ballots. This time they may choose different Dem dominated counties to delay their tallies, but it could very well be the same shenanigans of finding the needed votes to throw the 2 elections to the Dems.
