 Heroic Spaniards are taking to the streets to protest new COVID-related lockdowns in the country.

  1. I've long thought that, by world standards, Americans are much less skeptical of government than are other populations, despite the last line of the jingo anthem.

  2. I think you are correct NAPster. Americans have long take credit for what their ancestors did and sit on their laurels.
    I’m going to have to research my family history again, because after watching that, I must have some Catalonian blood in me. Maybe the Catalonian revolution will take the place of the American revolution in the history books as most important someday. These good people know what to revolt for and who to revolt against! God be with them.

  3. Who wouldn’t be skeptical of govt. with the likes of Stalin, Hitler and other assorted dictators of the 20th Century breathing down your neck, obliterating your cities and countries. When have Americans ever experienced, even remotely what Europeans and Asians went through during WWII and after? 9/11 seems more like a day in the life of the Vietnam War, or an insignificant side show to the carpet bombing of Dresden, the fire bombing of Tokyo, or the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
