When All Is Said and Done, NBA Commissioner Chooses Dollars Over Social Justice Nonsense

Adam Silver

The social justice warrior, anorexic freak NBA commissioner Adam Silver is throwing his beloved NBA, display for "social justice," under the bus as NBA Finals ratings collapse.

Game 1 recorded the lowest Finals opener ever, at 7.41 million. Game 2 set another new low of 6.6 million viewers. And then things got worse for game 3, with of only  5.94 million viewers.

Silver sat down for an interview with Rachel Nichols on NBA Countdown earlier this week and indicated that the social justice messaging that is currently displayed on the courts and the backs of players’ jerseys will be “largely left off the floor” next season.

In other words, he is throwing the movement out of the NBA, but he continues to talk SJW nonsense:

We’re completely committed to standing for social justice and racial equality and that’s been the case going back decades. It’s part of the DNA of this league. How it gets manifested is something we’re gonna have to sit down with the players and discuss for next season. I would say, in terms of the messages you see on the court and our jerseys, this was an extraordinary moment in time when we began these discussions with the players and what we all lived through this summer. My sense is there’ll be somewhat a return to normalcy, that those messages will largely be left to be delivered off the floor. And I understand those people who are saying ‘I’m on your side, but I want to watch a basketball game.’

What a surprise, fans want to watch basketball during basketball games rather than being preached to by multi-millionaire black athletes who claim that blacks can't catch a break.

  1. There's a great tweet going around that the NBA finally achieved equality. Their ratings are now equal to the WNBA. :)

    1. Not just that...it delivers an immediate corrective mechanism to a producer who reduces the attractiveness of a product to the buyer.

If politicians had to undergo a monthly referendum on whether they should stay in office, their "product" might also improve. It's no accident that Tax Day and Election Day are about as far apart on the calendar as they can be.
