Harris is Hillary's girl and it is a typical Hillary move that doesn't make a lot of strategic sense unless you realize that if Susan Rice was picked by Sleepy Joe then the whole Benghazi thing would be in the headlines again. The last thing Hillary wants.
But the Harris pick doesn't make sense for Sleepy.
Biden will need help to get out the black vote but Harris will not do it, the black community sees her as a "cop" because of her controversial stint as California attorney general.

Harris is in favor of Medicare for all. The AFL-CIO gives her a rating of 100%. She has an "F" rating from the National Rifle Association for her consistent efforts supporting gun control.
In April, Harris and Senator Elizabeth Warren introduced the Price Gouging Prevention Act, a bill that would empower the Federal Trade Commission to enforce a ban on excessive price increases of consumer goods amid national emergencies and specifically consider any price increase above 10% to be price gouging during such a declaration.
Harris opposed President Trump's Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, and has called for a repeal of the bill's tax cuts for wealthy Americans. But in 2018, she proposed a tax cut for the majority of working- and middle-class Americans.
In other words, she is mostly a lefty interventionist and a nasty opportunist doing what makes sense for Harris regardless of the moral ramifications, as Tulsi Gabbard reminded us during the debates

But she is bad on almost all issues and libertarians need to attack her on all her socialist positions.

ReplyDeleteI have been pretty sure Biden was going to win the election, and have been looking at options of leaving the country vs riding it out in Alaska. Alaska May be the best option even then, but, I think Harris is a stone-mill on the Biden presidency, and will drown it. The left will not support her. Prepare for a lot of cities burning down. If you live in a big city, I don’t have a crystal ball, but I would get out while you can.
The Maoist are going to riot like we have never seen, and Trump won’t have anything to keep him from going full tyrant to put the riots down with a re-election.
The establishment doesn’t seem to realize that people are done with them, on both sides of the major political isle. And the fight is going to be over what will replace them. Token candidates have gone by the wayside.
What options have you considered outside the US? The Cayman Islands has often struck me as an interesting idea, although I would want to better understand how much control the awful UK state has.
DeleteMy son in law and daughter are heading to Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama in a couple months, then they are going to look around in South America for a while. Doug Casey is in Uruguay riding out the plandemic, and their President didn’t want anything to do with stupid lockdowns and such. I am not a Mennonite, but there are a lot of Mennonite churches from North America that have moved down there and have become a part of daily society down there now. The churches up here will help you get in touch with churches down there for a friendly face if needed, or just to learn about the area from them.
DeleteI have heard a lot of good things about Panama, definitely check that out. You can catch a documentary on Netflix about the Menonites in Central and South America, hard working people.
DeleteInteresting ideas (and I've been reading Casey's stuff for years). Among other criteria, I would want a place that has no fealty to the US government (whether financial, military, commercial, etc.).
DeleteIf Biden wins, Harris will almost certainly be President before long. I doubt Biden will last one year.
