In less than 4 months, the U.S. transformed into an obedient socialist country. Government dictated what events are acceptable to attend. Violent protests that instill fear are OK but church services, family funerals and patriotic celebrations are dangerous. And you bought it without a fight.
More important try and get one of your friends who is willingly obeying all the new totalitarian rules to listen to it.

From 2011 to 2013, Higgins managed a classified project for Special Operations Command (SOCOM). From 2010 to 2011, he served as the Chair of Special Operations and Low Intensity Conflict at the National Defense University.
In 2004, he formed the Department of Defense’s (DOD) Irregular Warfare Support (IWS) program office and served as the organization’s first Program Manager until June 2010. In this role he was directly responsible for the creation of several new strategic and operational capabilities.
Higgins has advised the White House, Congress, and Foreign Governments on strategy, technology, and terrorism-related matters.
He served on the National Security Council in the Trump Administration as the Director for Strategic Planning. He was removed in 2017 after warning of a deep state coup to remove the President.

The fear mongers are coming from every direction. The people's acceptance of might makes right edicts isn't a 4 month phenomenon. This has been going on since time began. It is unfortunately a part of human nature and the world we live in. Mitigating the results of fear mongering cannot be accomplished by more fear mongering. This article from Psychology Today in 2015 offers a very insightful description of what it calls moral fear. Substitute the phrase covid-19 for the article’s “folk devil” and you have a near perfect description of what has happened in the last 5 or 6 months.

The author identifies five elements necessary for this moral fear to become widespread and the last and most important is the public. No specific cure is recommended by this article but it suggests that the public must be informed by facts and reminded of the values that have helped to create human well being . Like the wisdom of First Do No Harm and the folly of a One Size Fits All strategy for human beings. And most important might makes right results in a vicious cycle of impoverishment while respect for individual rights and voluntary interactions can maximize well being. These truths can only be conveyed one person at a time. Not by fear mongering or force but by patient communication. Brion McClanahan’s Think Locally Act Locally is a good strategy for those who want to take action. But for those who want to be less active in a world crowded with unreasonable people, I offer words from Voltaire (who once had to hide from government censors who wanted him arrested for a book he published): “Being unable to make people more reasonable, I preferred to be happy away from them.”
