Bari Weiss, a
New York Times opinion editor and outspoken critic of the woke crowd at the paper who have been successfully blocking op-ed articles not in line with wokeness and intimidating columnists and other staff, has resigned. That is the woke crowd successfully assassinated a lefty not sufficiently radical. It is not going to stop. Stalin would be proud.
Weiss's open resignation letter to A.G. Sulzberger, publisher of the Times, is a must-read (
here).
The thing to watch now is what columnists remain and are willing to play according to the anti-civilization crowd.
The ACC is now in charge at the Gray Lady, no doubt soon to be renamed the Queer Black Lady.

Anyone who knows his short 3 year journey at the times and the distant heights from which the NYT has fallen can make no mistake that this is a watershed red flag in American journalism that unequivocally sounds the death knell for a once proud press.
ReplyDeleteWalter Duranty won the Pullitzer but essentially peddled fake news about Stalin's mass murders in the Ukraine. The Pullitzer outfit has decided not to withdraw his prize - but they do, at least, acknowledge he was a faker.

Duranty mostly published via the NYT. Weiss's resignation shows that we can expect to see more of this great NYT tradition pursued in the future.
Duranty was a bad guy, but he won the prize for his reporting before the famine.
DeleteGlen Greenwald has taken Bari Weiss to task multiple times for her views.
