AOC is a classic example of the mistake most teenagers make when they become aware that there are problems in the world. They condemn their elders for not addressing these "obvious" problems and so judge them as ignorant, with no understanding of life following worthless traditions. Most of us grow out of this emotional, immature, short-term type of thinking. And we learn to think before using our emotions. AOC suffers from arrested development and now that she is a politician is unlikely to recover.
These knee-jerk politicians have two modes: Identify what's desirable, pass a law mandating that thing; Identify what's undesirable, pass a law criminalizing that thing.
At least Paul is trying to suggesting solutions rather than AOC’s tyrannical power transfer. But considering humans current knowledge of organisms, Titan, the Sun and its solar system (and the list goes on and on) shields and altering genetics are premature at best and probably more harmful than doing nothing.

ReplyDeleteAnd, on this theme, look what the Finns did to themselves, electing a bunch of 30 year olds to "run" the country:

That's a really good way to put it. It's almost unbearable to see these people and their ideas being respected on TV.

DeleteI love the fact the Rand trolls her in timelines that counter point her ludicrous assertions and the nuance of it flies over her head anyway!
ReplyDeleteI wonder who has firmer grasp of the chemistry that underlies all these discussions.
ReplyDeleteI hear ya. Well, she's not a chemist, but she WAS a bartender! BTW, I wonder how many people realize that Rand is an M.D.?
