This is What Trump Wanted to Do to Those Attempting to Illegally Cross the Border...

Update below.

...and to US property owners.

The New York Times reports:
Privately, the president had often talked about fortifying a border wall with a water-filled trench, stocked with snakes or alligators, prompting aides to seek a cost estimate. He wanted the wall electrified, with spikes on top that could pierce human flesh. After publicly suggesting that soldiers shoot migrants if they threw rocks, the president backed off when his staff told him that was illegal. But later in a meeting, aides recalled, he suggested that they shoot migrants in the legs to slow them down. That’s not allowed either, they told him...
When he ordered wall construction sped up,[he was told] they needed permission from property owners. Take the land, Mr. Trump would say, and let them sue us.
Not an ounce of respect for individual liberty in this guy...but, he is still better than Elizabeth Warren.

  2. Number one: it's the New York Times, so you can't believe a word they say. Number two: assuming true, Trump likes to get a rise out of people, even his own staff.
